Pats Dynasty?

Hey all you zealous Patriot fanaticals out there

Wow! What a great season these guys have had huh? I mean truly spectacular, 16-0, now thats perfection! Its truly a shame, however, that such a positive season had to start off in such a negative and well, embarrassing manner.

"Mastermind" coach Bill Belichick took a serious blow to his public image with his mid-game photography antics in the season opener verse tehe New York Jets of the 2007-2008 NFL season. The Patriots won the game 38-14, the patriots were also fined $250,000 and were forced to give away their first around draft pick in April. Belichick was personally fined $500,000.

What a way to start the season.

Since then the Pats have rolled through most of the "competition" outscoring their next seven opponents by twenty points or more.

But the Patriots should be considered legitimate. Right? The team has won three Superbowls in the last four years, and are widely considered a dynasty.

As history as proved not all dynasties reflect positively, and this 'dynasty' in particular has done a the NFL a great disservice. Not only will their so-called dynasty forever remain in question (asterisked if you will), but now questions regarding sportsmanship and legitimate play are going to start rapidly circulating around sports-desks and social circles around the country.

I have already witnessed one bar room brawl over the topic.

The recently issued Mitchell report has shook the already shaky ground of our great American Past time. Landis. Juventus. Tim Donaghy. Marion Jones. Pete Rose. Bonds.

Point is we know it happens, on the individual level. Tour de France hopefuls and young tack stars suffering from various compitetive complexes are one thing. And guys like Donaghy, who fixed NBA games in which he bet on, along with the infamous Pete Rose, are severely crippled by greed.

Belichick and his cameramen/henchmen are an entirely different story. The Patriots bring this whole cheating thing to a team level. Nobody discredits the Giants for whatever success they had during Barry Bonds juicing tenure in San Fransisco because it was on the individual level.

And let us not all be completely naive to the fact that pro-football players use steroids and or HGH. Sean Merriman. Patriot 'great' Rodney Harrison. These guys are undoubtedly among many others are juicing in the NFL. But avid football fans have grown to accept that fact, people are not born that big, not that many people at least.

But now we have "team cheating" apparently going on. Sorry New England I nor the rest of the sports fans around the country are going to willingly forgive and forget this so-called "Historic Season'.

So when they are handing Tom Brady another Ford F-150 for another 'MVP' performance in the Superbowl (Conviently Ford just released the New England addition), I just hope that it comes complete with an extended cab that will safely and comfortably fit whatever super model and illegitimate children he chooses to spend that particular day with.
